Abstract

The key subcomplex of crop production is the grain-product subcomplex. Grain is used for food, technical and
fodder purposes. The level of development of grain production is a kind of indicator of the economic well-being of the
state. The purpose of the study was to analyze grain production in the Republic of Belarus for the period 2016—2021.
The article shows the actual volumes of grain production for the period under study and the growth rates of production
volumes to the previous year are determined. The forecast indicators of grain production noted in the State programs for
the development of agricultural business are given, efficiency evaluation of implementation of grain production subprograms
of the State programs “Agricultural Business” is presented on the basis of assessment of the degree of achievement
of the planned values of the targets. To assess the state of national food security for grain, the indicators of critical and
optimal grain production for the Republic of Belarus are given. The indicators of grain production sufficiency for the
critical and optimal level of food security are calculated.
