Abstract

The article examines the issues of legal regulation of international private law relations in the projects of the Civil Code of the USSR. The author analyzes the significance of these documents for the further development of domestic legislation on international private law. The article presents the characteristics of the main provisions of the projects of the Civil Code of the USSR on the problems of international private law. The author used general scientific dialectical methods of cognition: analysis and synthesis, deduction, and induction. The research also included private scientific methods of jurisprudence: formal dogmatic, legal interpretation, historical legal, and comparative legal. The importance of the study is that it fills a gap in the current science of international private law regarding the origins of conflict-of-laws
mechanisms in domestic law.
