Abstract

Being a bearer of humanistic public interests, since the 90s, our state has been trying to not only build a pannational model of physical education and sport, but also to legally consolidate it.

Each branch of law has its own legal means reflecting the regulation peculiarities of its participants’ behavior in public relations. The article examines the evolution of legislative processes which underlie the activities of state
authorities in the field of physical education and sport at various formation stages of the sovereign Republic of Belarus. The article also pays special attention to improving the legal framework as the сollection of legal acts for physical education and sport is not considered an independent branch of law and has not been systematized (codified) yet. The issue under research is highly relevant since over a relatively long 30-year period of the independent Belarus, a lot of significant for physical education and sport regulations have not been systematized in one act; moreover, some of them have not been even reflected in the sport law of the country.
