Abstract

The article reveals the activities of church councils and parish trustees at all stages of the organization of church construction works. The introduction substantiates the relevance of the study and the reasons of this phenomenon. At the preparatory stage, the participation of church organizations in the search, preparation of building materials in accordance with the design and estimate documentation, selection of a site for the construction of an object is shown. Their role in the construction of temples by economic (hiring craftsmen or planning and carrying out construction work on their own), by contract or agency methods (conclusion of agreements and contracts, monitoring the progress of the construction of buildings) is revealed. The interaction of members of church organizations with a special commission from a churchbuilding
institution during the reception of the church by the spiritual department upon completion of construction is reflected. The importance of church organizations and parish guardianships in this direction was emphasized.
