Abstract

The article analyzes the changes and additions made to the Constitution of the Republic of Belarus following the results of the referendum of 2022. Attention is paid to the expansion of the constitutional and legal status of citizens,
creation of the constitutional basis for the additional provision of social and economic rights, strengthening the balance between the private and public interests. The importance of constitutional changes and additions aimed at preserving traditional values in the sphere of family relations is emphasized. It is concluded that the model of the legal status of a person and a citizen provided for in the Constitution reflects universal values which are characterized by justice, kindness, humanism, duty, necessity and observation of the moral laws of human community.
