Abstract

The article considers the evolution of theoretical and methodological approaches to the study of the mechanism of the functioning of the labor market, analyzes its elements and establishes their relationships. The role of the state in
the system of labor relations is revealed, directions and instruments of state regulation of the labor market are shown. The problem of prevention and mitigation of the consequences of social risks in the labor sphere has been updated.
