Abstract

The article is devoted to the problem of using doping in the sport of high achievements. The author describes the problem of legislative changes in the field of criminal law to counteract the use of doping in sport. Certain provisions of anti-doping rules in the international context are described and analyzed. A detailed interpretation of regulatory acts has been made with an attempt to prove their practical context. The author relies on doctrinal publications and his own analysis of the legal text. The article discusses the issues of criminal liability for doping in the national legislation of individual countries, the reasons for refusing to criminalize doping, possible ways to improve domestic legislation and strengthen criminal liability for crimes related to the use of prohibited substances and methods by athletes both at the national level and in the international arena.
