Abstract

The article examines the evolution of the knowledge economy concept in the context of the emergence and proliferation of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies. It analyzes key theoretical approaches to understanding post-industrial society and related models such as the information, innovation-driven, and creative economies. The central argument is that the current stage of the knowledge economy is characterized by a symbiosis of human and artificial intelligence, while knowledge remains the foundational factor of social production. The paper proposes an updated periodization of the knowledge economy and emphasizes the need for developing intellectual infrastructure to support its advancement.
