Abstract

The article shows the role of informatization and digitalization processes as a factor in the high dynamics of the
knowledge economy. An analysis of the transition to this economy in an emerging post-industrial society in the context of
the widespread use of information and communication technologies and the widespread of the Internet is given. Some
country-specific features of the digital transformation of the knowledge economy as a complex phenomenon are
considered and it is determined that as a result of this, the world market is saturated with new, knowledge-based services
and goods. It has been revealed that digitalization and informatization of the knowledge economy in the household sector
increase employment, contribute to the growth of human intellectual capital and meet consumer demand; in the field of
business, they ensure the penetration of companies into the world market, stimulate the growth of labor productivity, allow
the distribution of innovative products and expand the competitive advantages of business entities, in the field of public
administration, they optimize the activities of e-government and facilitate the process of managing aggregated variables.
