Abstract

The minutes of the board of the Central Archive of the RSFSR are a valuable source on the history of the organization of exhibition activities in 1921-1928. The article highlights the main issues and discusses the decisions made contained in the protocols. In addition to the minutes, accompanying materials created to implement the decisions of the meetings were also studied. Exhibitions of archival documents during this period were often organized on the initiative and on the basis of museums. In 1925, a special exhibition was held to popularize archival work. Also, exhibitions about archival work in the RSFSR were held in Berlin, Vienna, Stockholm, and Cologne. The exhibition was accompanied by the development of special instructions for its organization and an exhibition plan. The first exhibition of archival documents, which took place in 1925, was dedicated to the 10th anniversary of the October Revolution. As a result of the analysis of documents, it is concluded that during this period, exhibitions of archival materials were created exclusively for anniversaries and memorable dates of the country.
