Abstract

During storage, liquid manure is easily stratified and, in the absence of its mixing, light impurities float to the
surface, and heavy particles form a sediment at the bottom of the manure storage. To obtain high-quality organic fertilizer,
it is necessary to ensure effective mixing of liquid manure by washing out the sediment at the bottom of the manure
storage. The process of mixing liquid manure combines in one technological chain the processes of washing out
the manure sediment compacted during storage and mixing it in the entire volume of the stored manure mass. Sediment
erosion in the manure storage is carried out installed in the layer of the liquid fraction of the mixer, which can be compared
with underwater hydraulic loosening of soils, which is carried out by a submerged jet flowing from the mixer
casing. To ensure the operation of the necessary equipment used in this process with minimal energy consumption, it is
required to maintain the optimal design and technological parameters of the equipment. In the article, equations for determining
the length of the sediment washout section and the required power for the mixer drive with a known diameter
of the nozzle outlet are obtained. Graphs of the required power dependence of the mixer and the length of the sludge
washout section on the diameter of the nozzle outlet are plotted.
