Abstract

The article reveals the features of the socio-cultural development of the individual at all stages of continuous
aesthetic education in the Republic of Belarus. The dominant principles of sociocultural development of students in the
context of polyartistic educational environment are revealed. The definition of the “sociocultural competence” concept
is revealed as the ability of a personality to perceive, accept and relay cultural values, social norms in the context of the
environment, space and time. The emphasis is placed on the creative activity of students as an aesthetic education constant.
A universal triad of principles of the individual socialization and inculturation is established in the secondary and
higher schools aesthetic education. It is concluded that the constancy of the principles of communication, creative activity
and the integration of humanitarian knowledge in the polyartistic environment ensure the training of the student
for future professional activities.
